Northern Lights Debate Tournament 2024

  • This tournament is designed to support high school (Grade 8-12) speech and debate teams in Northern BC and the Yukon – with a focus on supporting programs in remote, rural, and First Nation schools and communities in all parts of BC and the Yukon
  • All high school speech and debate teams in BC and the Yukon are welcome to attend, especially schools where many students face barriers to taking part in programs like competitve speech and debate
  • We are just starting out, so right now we don’t have lots of funds to help facilitate travel – but our vision is make speech and debate accessible for students in all parts of BC and the Yukon, especially for all students in Northern, remote, rural, and/or First Nation schools and communities
