Community Builders

Who:

  • Open to all interested students in grades 9-12 at CHSS
  • For students who:
    • Want to learn how to build and sustain a positive community for everyone
    • Want to run events that support their community and that make a difference
    • Are interested in travelling to other places to learn about different cultures

What:

  • Community Builders focuses on:
    • Community Service
    • Educational Exchange Trips
    • Service Mentorship
    • Leadership Camp
    • Community Field Studies

Where:

  • We meet in room 308

When:

  • We meet every Thursday after school from October to May
  • You still can participate in many of our events and activities without attending every Thursday meeting

Programs and Activities

  1. Movies That Matter: Middle School Movie Nights @ CHSS
  2. Educational Exchange Trip and North Coast Rivers Road Trip
  3. Building Community Together Leadership Camp
  4. Community Service Mentorship Project (starting in January 2026)
  5. International Community Field Studies Trip (starting in June 2027)
